On the road – Day One

Yesterday was our first full day on the road. We spent Tuesday night at my parent’s lovely cabin just outside of Gettysburg. We had a lazy day, a campfire, and a good night’s sleep.
Yesterday we drove from 9 am till 7 pm, knocking out our whole portion of my most-hated road: the Penna turnpike. Blech. The Apache tracks well but it gets the wiggles unless you drive geeeently.
We spent our first night in the Apache in Harrison Lake State park, Ohio. How did it go? As Wes said this morning after we bonked heads in our sleepy haze, “We’ve had worse.”
On to Wisconsin!

  1. I can’t believe you camped at Harrison Lake. You were less than 10 miles from my parents’ house…we used to camp there in our pop-up when I was a kid. 🙂
